About the Project

The owner of this Hyundai Creta wanted to modernize the factory infotainment system by upgrading to a feature-rich Android touchscreen radio and adding a high-definition backup camera for improved convenience and safety. The goal was to give the vehicle a more premium, factory-style appearance while providing the latest technology for navigation, entertainment, and hands-free communication.

The new Android head unit features a large HD touchscreen that transforms the dashboard with a clean, modern look. It includes wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth hands-free calling and audio streaming, built-in GPS navigation, Wi-Fi connectivity, USB media playback, access to Android apps, and an intuitive interface that makes everyday driving more enjoyable. To complete the upgrade, we also installed a high-quality 1080P AHD backup camera, providing a crystal-clear rear view with excellent image quality for easier and safer parking.

What We Did

Our team professionally removed the factory radio and installed the new Android multimedia head unit using the proper installation components for a clean, secure, and reliable fit.

To maintain the integrity of the vehicle’s electrical system, we did not cut or modify the factory wiring. Instead, we used the appropriate plug-and-play wiring harness adapter, allowing the new radio to integrate seamlessly while preserving the original wiring. This method ensures long-term reliability, makes future servicing easier, and keeps the installation completely reversible.

We also installed the premium AHD backup camera, carefully routing all wiring through the vehicle to keep everything hidden and protected. The camera was mounted and adjusted for the best viewing angle, then connected to the new radio so the display automatically switches to the rear camera whenever the vehicle is placed in reverse.

Before completing the installation, we thoroughly tested every feature, including the touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth, GPS functionality, audio system, steering wheel controls (where applicable), and the backup camera to ensure everything operated flawlessly.

The Result

The finished installation gave this Hyundai Creta a dramatic interior upgrade with a sleek, factory-quality appearance and the convenience of today’s latest infotainment technology. The large HD touchscreen modernizes the dashboard while providing quick access to navigation, music, phone calls, messaging, and apps through Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
